Relationships chosen by God...
Knowing that Peter had an important message from God, Cornelius gathered his family... They would be the first people to hear the news of Jesus.
From the moment of our birth or adoption each of us became part of a family. From grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces to parents, siblings, and even children - the God of the universe created each one of us and knew exactly where to place us.
Lifelong relationships are the most natural places for the love of Christ to be seen and shared. These relationships are also the ones that most often need our prayer.
A Spiritual Family...
Regardless of the kind of relationships you may have with your "natural family," upon surrendering to Christ you became part of a "spiritual family." How good it is to know the love of God through each other and literally have millions of brothers and sisters around the world.
