Katie is passionate about growing the next generation and seeing Walnut Hill develop into a family that embraces the beauty of how God is represented through a community that is multi-ability, multi-ethnicity, multi-lingual and multi-generational. She serves as both our Senior Children’s Coordinator working with preschoolers and also in an advisory role as the coordinator for our Special Needs Ministry.
Katie received a B.S. in elementary and special education from Boston University as well as an M.S. in applied behavior analysis from Northeastern University. She is certified in Connecticut for Special Education (Birth-Grade 12) and Inclusive/General Education (Birth-Grade 6). Katie had six years of experience teaching in public schools before coming on staff at Walnut Hill.
When she’s not working, you might find Katie enjoying her other passions – music and theater. Katie plays the guitar and sings during our 6 p.m. service on Sundays at the Bethel Campus.
