John Dischinger

John has a passion for serving Jesus and serving people who are facing the storms we all face in life. He was called into Walnut Hill’s Care Ministry in October 2012, after spending more than 25 years in the technology industry. During that time, he was also engaged in a number of missions and care ministries that focused on families and young adults at risk or in crisis.  John also serves as the Pastor of “Church in Action”, the global missions ministry at Walnut Hill which supports 33 different ministries and families around the world.

John has a Master’s degree in Education and Administration from Harvard University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston University.

His wife, Karen, recently retired after a career as an elementary school teacher in Ridgefield, CT. His daughter, Meghan, is also a third grade teacher (Brookfield, CT) and his son, Matthew, is an LCSW working with families in crisis on the North Shore of Boston.
