Walnut Hill has a unique perspective on disaster relief - we hold back....until the time is right

Walnut Hill was active immediately after the January 2010 earthquake that ravaged Haiti -- our people donated with passion and we gave more than $10,000 to World Relief to meet the immediate needs.

Now, months later, as the spotlight has predictably faded, the people in Haiti are still suffereing. Now is when we can begin to use the majority of the money we collected to make a significant and long-lasting difference in the lives those who are struggling to make a life in deplorable conditions.

Pastor Vicky Calver has just returned from a meeting with other church leaders through World Relief, about how to address the long-term needs of that country.  The money we have put aside for such needs will now soon be allocated where they can do the most good.

We'll hear more from Vicky on that in the days and weeks ahead about how we can continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus there.  But now, if anyone would like to make a contribution, they can do so by clicking the "donate now" icon above.
