Prayer Servant Ministry

Vision verse: “The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.” Isaiah 61:1-4

At Walnut Hill, we seek intimate fellowship with the triune God - listening to His voice & His Word and interacting with Him in the everyday experiences of life. We believe that encounters with the living God transform lives.

The Restorative Prayer Ministry exists to facilitate authentic encounters with the living God between our Prayer Servants and willing individuals, that they may be rebuilt, renewed, and restored by the love and power of Jesus. There are currently three main settings for Restorative Prayer Ministry at Walnut Hill:

Up Front after our worship services, in the Prayer Room on Sundays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Bethel Campus, and in extended Private Restorative Prayer sessions.

Prayer Servants are the agents of Restorative Prayer. They are men and women who come alongside willing individuals to minister the love and power of Jesus Christ and facilitate authentic encounters with the living God.

Private Restorative Prayer Ministry is a time of extended prayer for emotional, physical, or spiritual healing with a small team of prayer servants.

The purpose of Private Restorative Prayer Ministry is to increase people’s experience of the love of God and to release their spiritual freedom to relate to God in a deeper way. In these sessions, experienced prayer servants support your revelation from the Holy Spirit and facilitate your direct communication with God. Sessions take place on Wednesdays or Thursdays and usually last 2-3 hours in duration.
