CONNECT in Community

Tuesday Night Youth Group

During the school year, we have weekly Tuesday night youth group at the church from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This is the time where students can relax, play some crazy fun games, and be with their peers as they explore what it means to follow Christ.

The goal here is to build community among all the students and foster real friendships so no one will ever feel they need to live their faith alone. God did not create us to be hermits!

Girl Talk

Before Youth Group - on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. - we have a small group just for middle school girls. Under the leadership of Girls’ Discipleship Director Kirsten Gillette, girls get together weekly and talk about issues related to life as a middle school girl.

An optional dinner is also included; girls who want to eat simply need to call the church before 4:00 p.m. to register for dinner and bring $5 that night.

Boys Discipleship Group

Just like Girl Talk, the boys have a group of their own, which meets less frequently (watch the news feed) and, instead of simply talking, it also involves some serious boy-specific games, like dodge ball, floor hockey, or our famous Cardboard Wars (think cardboard armor, safe foam weapons and glory).

The discipleship comes through using these games along with short lessons to teach boys how to be godly young men who live with honesty, integrity and honor. It also includes an optional $5 dinner, for which guys must register by calling the church before 4:00 p.m. that day.
