God’s Hand Evident in The Valley
Walnut Hill’s first service at the Strand Theater had God’s handprints all over it. From moving worship music led by the worship team and powerful preaching from Senior Pastor Clive Calver, to a jovial spirit from more than 165 in attendance, the inaugural event far surpassed what anyone could have hoped for on November 27, 2011.
Church leaders thought a showing of 75-100 people would be “miraculous” for this first service in a community where few are church-goers and even fewer are surrendered Christ-followers.
Walnut Hill has already received notes and letters of thanks from those who attended the service; one woman said she was “praying for a church in my own community that I can call home. I believe I have found that.”
Campus Pastor Craig Horne, after having been commissioned at Walnut Hill’s Bethel campus the week before, welcomed his congregation; the worship team, led by Emmanuel Chang, turned out early to set up; and the rest of the Valley Team pitched it to set up children’s ministry areas, welcome tables and the refreshment stand.
Continue to pray that God would move in powerful ways at our newest campus.
