Classes & Community
This we know – women need opportunities to grow in their faith, and
they need to do it in the company of other women who are seeking the same.
Life’s not the same without girlfriends!
Walnut Hill has three regularly scheduled opportunities for classes and
community.

This popular women’s ministry, which serves hundreds of women and
children in two 13-week sessions each year (beginning September and January),
meets Thursdays 9:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., providing a number of different
Biblically based studies.
It’s a great opportunity to connect with other women, have fun,
grow in your spiritual maturity and develop your own leadership skills. A full,
age-appropriate program is provided for children through kindergarten. Costs
depend largely on the book each group is studying.

Help is available for you moms who would love to get out of the house and spend some precious time with other women. MOPS, an international organization with a chapter at Walnut Hill, is a place where mothers of children from birth through preschool can be
nurtured as well as have their leadership skills developed. A typical meeting
includes breakfast, table discussions, crafts and a teaching time. Childcare is
provided. "MOPS knows you are experiencing a challenging phase of life when doubt, fear, frustration and exhaustion collide with love, joy, hope and elation," says a MOPS brochure, and we couldn't agree more!
Walnut Hill currently runs two MOPS programs at our Bethel campus. They each
meet on one Tuesday morning per month.

This women’s Bible/book study is a popular choice for women who
work outside the home and cannot attend AM/FM. The group meets Tuesday evenings
at 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., providing a place where women can be refreshed after
a day in the workplace or after the kids are ready for bed.
There is no childcare available, but Tuesday evenings provide a unique
opportunity for some families: Oasis takes place the same time as Rise Up PM (a
men’s ministry) and Middle School Youth Group – a family
church night out!
