Serving In Faith
As a church, and as men, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our everyday lives – where we work, where we worship, with our friends and neighbors and in our community.
Here are some opportunities for men to live out their faith by serving, both at Walnut Hill and in the Greater Danbury community.

Project 1:27
"This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." - James 1:27
Inspired by James 1:27, this ministry serves those in our church family and in the community who do not have the means to undertake household repairs and chores.
The leaders of Project 1:27 work hand-in-hand with pastors in Walnut Hill's Care Ministry. As pastors field requests from widows, single mothers and others in the congregation, they will forward the eligible requests to leaders of Project 1:27.

Pathways / Mentoring
This one-to-one mentoring program was founded in 1997 to help at-risk boys “trust in the Lord and do good” – finding the stability and maturity often missing in their life situations. The nonprofit program – which is operated by Jericho Partnership in Danbury, CT - pairs a fifth-grade boy with a mature Christian man for regular one-to-one fun and support.
